Frequently Asked Questions

What does LMHC stand for?

How can I tell if my insurance plan will reimburse me for therapy?

I am in-network with Lyra. For all other insurance plans, to determine whether you will be reimbursed for treatment please call the number on the back of your insurance card. Ask your plan whether you have out-of-network benefits and if you do, inquire whether you will be reimbursed for psychotherapy services provided by a licensed mental health counselor. I will provide you with the necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How long is each session? Is the first session longer?

Each session lasts 50 minutes. In order to save time at our first session, I will provide you with access to my intake form, informed consent form, privacy policy and practice policy in advance of the first appointment. It is important to read and complete these forms before our first session.

What types of payment do you accept?

I am able to accept cash, check or Venmo. Payment is due at the time of service.

How do I get started?

You can request a free 15-minute phone consultation here. You can also contact me on my secure web form, call me at 917-969-7875 or email me at [email protected] to set up the consultation. For all messages, I will get back to you within 24-48 hours.
